About this artwork
This piece began as a photographic exploration. It is two separate images of window reflections merged into one composition. I was drawn to the way the light, color, and distorted forms played against each other, creating unexpected depth.
As I sat with the image, I felt certain areas calling out for more emphasis. I wanted to highlight certain shapes and colors. I began layering painted lines and color directly onto the surface in order to create… more symmerty and balance.
The process became a wondering between the accidental and the deliberate. This piece represents that intersection, where photography and painting intertwine.

She masterfully blends mediums, often merging nature-inspired images with inventive uses of texture, color, and abstract light, as seen in her series utilizing tin foil and reflected light. Her close-up, movement-driven compositions explore overlooked patterns and forms, inviting the viewer to feel suspended in time. It is an invitation to pause, to observe, and to see a moment close up.
