Endless driving led me to observing the infinite number of tail light designs igniting in front of me. A chain reaction of braking lights. Mesmerized by these variations I was inspired to photograph them. I knew instinctively that eventually they would become a spiral. Over time, they transformed into small cutouts, looking for a surface to land on. Sifting through large prints I made, I moved them around until they found their place against the…
zig-zagging blue and yellow reflections. A concept turned into a physical original piece. Seeing "Tail Lights" finished represents the artistic process for me. An everyday scene, transformed into a colorful abstraction.
