About this artwork
Inspired by the atmosphere of the period, this canvas organized into zones of horizontal bands on a vertical format offers dominant very light to dark gray tones, vine black, bluish zones and orange-browns. So basic at first glance, it reveals itself to be complex in its pictorial treatment by the intentions of reliefs and optical effects optimized by the mixed technique of grease pencil and oil with a brush. It invites a certain form of serenity… in contemplation. It plays on the vibration accentuated by the tracking of the lines present on the different bands. With an abstract base, the canvas offers a final result evoking an arid landscape in autumnal colors, hence its evocative title.
Its aesthetic interest lies in its ability to evolve according to the light which illuminates it from morning to evening in artificial light.
The canvas is signed lower right and surrounded by a black strap allowing it to be presented as is.
« Every day, I quietly brush away my balances, my sensitivity, my imagination and I dream of touching the other. This is the life that I have chosen and that has chosen me, forever. »
