This free hanging canvas is intended to be a symbolic representation of our relationship to the environment linked to ecological disasters, and to the resilience that we must demonstrate for the generations to follow: not accepting, fighting, protecting and always considering nature as our source of beauty.
The free canvas presents a visual ensemble composed of lines and strata that can symbolize our living space, cut vertically by birch trunks.… These vertical shapes evoke stability, nature in its rawest and most poetic aspect. The trunks are three times surrounded by fluorescent orange hand-embroidered bandage bands, symbolizing our duty to protect.
The canvas is fitted at the top with a 1 m wide wooden strip slipped into a hem. this allows it to be hung easily and freely. It is signed on the back.

« Every day, I quietly brush away my balances, my sensitivity, my imagination and I dream of touching the other. This is the life that I have chosen and that has chosen me, forever. »
LABB is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her favorite themes pertain to nature, as well as the place of humanity in nature. LABB expresses these topics through the depiction of veins, roots, vines, and entanglements in order to reflect on our ties, hindrances, dependencies, servitudes, and isolations. She primarily creates using oils on canvas.
