About this artwork
In this work I explored a fusion of abstraction and raw art focusing on a single line motif, using oils to capture the raw and emotive texture of nature. The painting is intentionally set within a frame recreated on the canvas which gives a photo/painting feel.
I was inspired by the landscapes of the Alpilles in the south of France, interpreting their mystery and abundance through a prism of earthy, greenish and pinkish colors. My desire is to recreate… this very special light of the frosty morning on the rocks and winter vegetation.
This painting invites introspection, bringing a calming and deeply rooted energy into the space it occupies.
The canvas is signed lower right and can be presented as is.
