About this artwork
This hanging canvas is intended to be a symbolic representation of the Alpine landscape, through a free and minimalist representation of umbrella pines, in a sepia, black and ecru color atmosphere.
The free canvas presents a visual ensemble composed of lines, strata and ovoid shapes plunging us into a surreal setting. This creation aims to be a strong visual force, combining raw treatment and delicacy in detail. The canvas, deliberately free, accentuates… the visual impact of the work. The whole is accentuated by the hand embroidery, more or less visible, made of silver, black, bronze or gold thread, covering the umbrella pine at the bottom right of the canvas.
The canvas is fitted at the top with a round wooden strip 1 m wide slipped into a hem. This allows it to be hung easily and freely.
The canvas is signed on the back at the bottom left.
