About this artwork
This hanging canvas is intended to be a symbolic representation of the path of life to be traveled, through a representation of a tree trunk, in a greenish, black and ecru umber color atmosphere.
The free canvas presents a visual set composed of lines and strata that can symbolize our living space, cut vertically by a trunk and to its left a more or less visible embroidered line of silver, black or gray thread. This line of life is deliberately… discontinuous and uneven by shifts to the left or to the right, which evoke on the one hand the difficulty and the resistance of the human spirit to let itself be guided, and on the other its animal need to belong. to a collective on a marked path.
The canvas is equipped at the top and bottom with a 1 m wide wooden stick slipped into a hem. this allows it to be hung easily and freely.
