About this artwork
This complex drawing is formed by a succession of a multitude of simple, precise and close lines, made with dexterity with a pen. By pressing suddenly on the pen, it moves away and deposits a drop of ink that causes a break in the line and encourages to change the orientation of the drawing or to create a kind of limit in the drawing. In this way, a multitude of shapes are born linked together, following or hollowing out each other and creating full…
and empty spaces. Here, the drawing takes strength thanks to the color breaks made with the felt pen that bring power and subtle colors.
Here, the lines follow each other in parallel and form a set of broken and uneven plant stems. The drawing is patiently constructed in a real desire for purity, supported by black and white. This series of work is regularly acclaimed by interior designers for luxury apartments, hotels or restaurants, such as the Martinez hotel in Cannes in its garden suites.

« Every day, I quietly brush away my balances, my sensitivity, my imagination and I dream of touching the other. This is the life that I have chosen and that has chosen me, forever. »
LABB is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally.
