About this artwork
This work has the particularity of using only one pigment color in addition to titanium white: Sepia. Worked in opacities and transparencies with a simple and recurring line pattern, areas of flat tints bounce on a sepia and titanium background where a blurred shape appears evoking a slightly darker century-old olive tree, deliberately positioned and truncated to the right of the canvas, all framed with an outline evoking a window. rhythms and the raw or diluted paste create a sensation of spectacular depth. This canvas with primitive accents in the treatment plunges us into a hypnotic space and lights up or darkens differently throughout the day depending on the light. An ode to Mother Nature. The canvas is surrounded by a black cotton strap allowing it to be hung as is. It is signed at the bottom right.
