About this artwork
This canvas is divided into 3 horizontal zones on which the work of the sticks bounces, drawing subtle vertical stripes. So basic at first glance, it reveals itself to be complex in its pictorial treatment when detailed closely with numerous intentions of reliefs and optical effects. It invites a certain form of serenity in contemplation. It plays on the vibration of the dominant sepia tones that each observer will be able to define and interpret…
according to their own field of vision and free imagination. The canvas is called RAINS because the vertical stripes confronted with the horizontal zones can evoke an arid landscape receiving the sudden blessing of precious rain.
Its aesthetic interest lies in its ability to evolve depending on the light that illuminates it from morning to evening in artificial light.
The canvas is signed on the back and surrounded by a beige strap allowing it to be presented as is.

« Every day, I quietly brush away my balances, my sensitivity, my imagination and I dream of touching the other. This is the life that I have chosen and that has chosen me, forever. »
LABB is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her favorite themes pertain to nature, as well as the place of humanity in nature. LABB expresses these topics through the depiction of veins, roots, vines, and entanglements in order to reflect on our ties, hindrances, dependencies, servitudes, and isolations. She primarily creates using oils on canvas.
