I created this photograph as part of my series "Grammar of Stillness", exploring silence and symmetry through historic architecture. The image focuses on the breathtaking timber lantern octagon of Ely Cathedral (Cambridgeshire, UK), capturing the mathematical perfection of Gothic space.
Working in black and white allows me to remove distractions and emphasize the quiet dialogue between shadow, stone, and historic wood.
