About this artwork
"Traversée" undoubtedly begins a sub-series of "Portées". We find there the same memory of the episode of the giant Saint-Christophe crossing the turbulent waters of a river, the Christ child on his shoulders.
In "Portées" as in "Crossing" it is rather the sea. Wind, shadows, clarity, strength, fragility, euphoria coexist there.
