The light gradually erases the volcanic reliefs of Santorini while the chapel remains, fragile and motionless, suspended on the edge of the void.
In this image, Greece appears… less as a landscape than as an inner state: a feeling of peace, luminous solitude, and contemplation. The deep blue of the sea converses with that of the dome, in a shared Mediterranean breath where spirituality merges with the horizon.

Laurent Parienti is a French artist-photographer whose work explores light, silence and Mediterranean landscapes through a minimalist and contemplative approach.
After traveling to different regions of the world, it was in Greece that he found his true artistic home. Inspired by the Aegean Sea, the Cyclades, and Greek mythology, he developed a timeless photographic style where blue, white, and light become an emotional language.
Through his Aegean Reverie series, he creates silent and contemplative images that invite the viewer on an inner journey.
Alongside this Mediterranean work, for several years he has been documenting the memory of the nomadic Moken people, living between Burma and Thailand, in an approach where documentary meets a more poetic and sensitive style of writing.
