Laurie painted this as a response to the rather challenging times we are experiencing in 2020.... political discord, devastating weather events, and a terrible pandemic. This is an intentionally loopy work, with skewed proportions. We see lopsided houses and streets in a childlike and rather satirical style that reflect the artist's vision that much of what is going on makes no sense.
