About this artwork
At first glance, the surface appears still — composed, quiet, resolved. Yet underneath, unseen forces collide, fragment, and reform in continuous motion.
These works are not representations of chaos, but of containment.
Energy is not released outward; it is held, compressed, and layered beneath a fragile calm. Lines intersect like traces of thought, while fields of color act… as thresholds — separating and connecting inner states that cannot fully emerge.
Working with pastel and chalk on paper, I embrace a material that is both delicate and unstable. Each mark resists permanence, echoing the transient nature of emotion and the difficulty of holding oneself together.
Beneath is a space of quiet intensity —
where stillness is not the absence of movement,
but the surface of an unseen collision.

Le Ha approaches painting as a continuum of perception, where contrasting expressions emerge from a shared source. In this sense, her series do not stand apart, but function as interconnected fields — each revealing a distinct moment within an ongoing exploration of what cannot be seen, yet continues to resonate within.
