Lacquer and silk possess very different qualities. Lacquer is dense and reflective, while silk is soft and luminous. Their interaction creates a quiet tension between weight and lightness.
In this piece, restrained gestures of lacquer move across the silk surface. The silk gently absorbs light while… the lacquer reflects it, producing delicate shifts in depth and tone.
Rather than depicting an image, the composition invites contemplation—like an echo that lingers in space and memory.
