About this artwork
"Hidden Choir" is a symbolic mixed media sculpture (25 × 20 × 12 cm) created from plastic, acrylic, textiles, and satin ribbon. A white mask marked by crimson accents and flowing red ribbons becomes a visual metaphor for the unspoken “chorus of emotions” — strength, fear, tenderness, love, and resilience — that shape female identity.
Part of the series “My Borders,” this work explores the visible and invisible boundaries women navigate throughout… life: social expectations, inner conflict, imposed roles, and emotional burden. The contrast of white and red evokes vulnerability, memory, the body, and quiet resistance.
Minimal yet emotionally charged, "Hidden Choir" transforms silence into presence, revealing what is often hidden beneath composure.
