About this artwork
In my work I focused on capturing the tranquil atmosphere of a lake, on the banks of which the green of nature is gently reflected in the still water. Using oil paints on canvas, I captured realistic details and the peaceful stillness that a lakeside scene can convey. The image is intended to place the viewer in a state of calm and reflection, evoking a sense of connection with the natural world and providing an oasis of calm in their home.

« Nature is my stage! »
Leni Winkelmann is an experienced German artist who has exhibited her works nationally. Primarily exploring the moods, impressions and thoughts of landscapes, she infuses each painting with imaginative motifs and a strong sense of solitude. Themes of loneliness and silence, light and shadow, colour and space, reality and subjective experience characterise a body of work full of interesting contrast and complexity.
