About this artwork
This work is part of a series of paintings I created using video, filming the entire creative process from start to finish, non-stop, and therefore without pauses. The video was then sped up to create a short clip where you can admire the final result appearing as if by magic. You can view the time-lapse video in the video section, and the source video file is included with the work at no additional cost.
In my paintings I use different media/techniques,… for this series I used markers, one of the most difficult techniques for creating photorealistic paintings.
In this case, I liked the idea of representing a boxing glove breaking through the laptop screen, ideally to hit the user. It's a conceptual image that should represent the intrinsic risks hidden on the web.
Leonello Calvetti uses traditional techniques such as acrylic, oil, and marker, along with computer graphics and photography, after extensive experience in Italy and London. He loves interpreting photorealism with a style he masters on both paper and canvas, often depicting liquid effects and drinks in large format. His works convey the wonder of living matter and the intense desire to return to the authenticity of handmade art, engaging the viewer on a journey between reality and tangible passion.
