About this artwork
In crafting this piece, my hands wove the steadfastness of metal with the organic warmth of wood, creating a wall object that emanates a harmony between strength and growth. It's a tactile sculpture that invites interaction and contemplation, urging viewers to reflect on the balance of unity and individuality. Each element contributes a voice in a larger narrative of cohesion—imbuing spaces with a palpable energy of togetherness and thoughtfulness.

« Sculpture, to me, is an idea captured in an aesthetic form. »
Leonid Filitsyan is an established, US-based sculptor who has exhibited his work at length in his hometown of New York. Since discovering Plasticine at age four, Filitsyan committed himself to producing a body of work that explores the material's full potential. In particular, his artwork serves to highlight its simultaneous tactility and beauty. Filitsyan's principal theme is the human condition: gender, emotions, the relationship between man and state. These themes and others are explored with technical expertise and a characteristic mastery of tension and drama.
