Leonid Filitsyan is an established, US-based sculptor who has exhibited his work at length in his hometown of New York. Since discovering Plasticine at age four, Filitsyan committed himself to producing a body of work that explores the material's full potential. In particular, his artwork serves to highlight its simultaneous tactility and beauty. Filitsyan's principal theme is the human condition: gender, emotions, the relationship between man and state. These themes and others are explored with technical expertise and a characteristic mastery of tension and drama.
