About this artwork
In this original oil painting, titled "The Blue Still Life" , I redefine the classic still life genre by transforming everyday objects into a cosmic, nocturnal melody. My creative intent was to masterfully fuse Symbolic Ethno-Surrealism with the dense ornamentation of Fantastic Realism, creating a canvas that vibrates with deep, meditative energy.
The composition centers on an elegant, deep indigo teapot and a translucent wine glass, contrasted… by a single glowing golden apple and two vibrant red cherries. Instead of a traditional setting, the objects rest within a shifting space of golden checkerboard fabrics, swirling cosmic vortexes, and intricate geometric arrays that challenge perspective and evoke a dreamlike state.
True to my signature technique, the entire surface is treated as a highly detailed, textured mosaic background. I have woven thousands of fine dots, white stellar accents, and swirling oriental ornamentation to give the dark palette a radiant, glowi
