About this artwork
In this work I wanted to describe tulips with a contemporary perspective, transforming them into rhythm, color, and matter.
The flower is not reproduced in a descriptive way, but interpreted through what it transmits: energy, movement and vitality.
The work is born from a layered construction. I begin with textured backgrounds and worn surfaces, upon which I layer colors, marks, and transparencies, allowing the traces of the journey that leads… to the final image to emerge. Each layer interacts with the next, creating depth and vibration.
With “Urban Tulips” I share my idea of nature today: free, intense, capable of speaking the language of the present without losing emotion.
