About this artwork
Aethercoil is a hand-built ceramic candelabra that blurs the boundary between object and symbol, light source and sculpture. It draws its name from “aether,” the ancient concept of a cosmic fifth element, and the coiled form that spirals around the piece—suggesting cycles, energy, and transformation.
Three candle holders crown the lid, encircled by a serpent-like form evoking the ouroboros—an eternal loop of renewal. Symbolic motifs such as planetary… marks and the fleur-de-lis are painted across its surface, hinting at celestial maps and forgotten rituals.
Part vessel, part ritual artifact, Aethercoil transforms flame into meaning, and invites contemplation of how light, time, and self spiral together through the vastness of the unknown
