I love the vernacular architecture of Maine. The old houses with their simple forms, facing the morning light, are the perfect subject matter to paint. When we moved here, I expected the beauty of the water - but I was not expecting the beauty and life of the meadows. They astound me and are beautiful in every season. We are now nearing the end of summer and the meadows are beginning to turn more towards yellow ochres and violets. Gorgeous!…
