About this artwork
With this work I wanted to express the unalterable tenderness of a being with their pet. The young child with delicate features tenderly embraces her white rabbit. The striking contrast between her dress in shades of green and red and the shimmering gold background provides a captivating visual richness. The dynamic textures of the painting, almost abstract, add depth to this intimate scene. The golden reflections illuminate the woman's face, accentuating… her soft and pensive eyes. The protective posture and the gentle gaze create an atmosphere of serenity and love. In this painting I mixed a certain realism with impressionist touches, to emphasize a spiritual connection between human beings and nature. I like to play with colors and materials, to give life to an emotive and unforgettable composition, where each brushstroke seems to tell a story of sweetness and complicity.
« [I seek to] be free while accessing vulnerability, to call the viewer to that which is intangible. »
