About this artwork
This artwork brings materials and textures that give it a sense of volume. Lu Mourelle transmits positive energy with warm and strong colors.
The artist is dedicated to showing the human soul. However, they are enigmatic figures. The characters featured by the artist show that personalities are above fads. Personalities are timeless and unique.
These women are independent and empowered. We can say that they are beautiful, even in some imperfect… forms. Lu Mourelle sensitively portrays beauty and strength. The message is: every woman has her own beauty.

« For me, being an artist is to explore the whole field of feelings without asking for permission. It's opening Pandora's box, without fear of its consequences. »
Lu Mourelle is a Brazilian painter based in Portugal. Her paintings are the result of her restless childhood alternating between Brazil and Europe. The focus of her paintings is on the representation of women who are different and rich in personality as well as emotion; characters of atypical and contemporary beauty.
