About this artwork
In this piece, I've blended the vivacity of pop art with the depth of realism, framed within a semi-abstract touch. The figure's gaze is compelling, inviting the viewer into a silent dialogue. The warm hues set the soul ablaze, while the textures crafted from acrylics, charcoal, and oil pastels tell a rich, tactile story. This painting is a fiery dance of color and emotion, ready to infuse any space with life, thought, and energy.
Colors: shades… of red, orange, grey, black and white.

« For me, being an artist is to explore the whole field of feelings without asking for permission. It's opening Pandora's box, without fear of its consequences. »
Lu Mourelle is a Brazilian painter based in Portugal. Her paintings are the result of her restless childhood alternating between Brazil and Europe. The focus of her paintings is on the representation of women who are different and rich in personality as well as emotion; characters of atypical and contemporary beauty.
