I have been painting these critters for over ten years.
In this year 2024, I sought to give them a new lease of life.
Their minimalist side is accentuated, without losing their personality.
In this collection, modern meets old.
For this collection, the name "Les Zygomatiques" was chosen.
This work is an explosion of energy and emotion, captured through vivid colors and expressive shapes.
Each figure, unique in its expression and hue, symbolizes… an individual, vibrant with emotion and life.
These figures, suspended as if in motion, add a joyful touch to any living space.

« In the pursuit of balance »
Luc Villard is a French painter whose art has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions in France. His abstract pieces contain themes of hidden faces and invented languages. Street art and 'Les Shadocks' (a French animated cartoon created by Jacques Rouxel which aired 1968–1974) have also influenced his compositions. Villard uses both dry and oil pastels, as well as acrylics, on cotton or linen canvases.
