It took more than three years to work on this picture. In between I was always on the verge of giving up because the effort just seemed too great. But now it's done.
Exactly 1024 individual oil paintings with a size of 4x4 cm are attached to the picture. A complete deconstruction of a canvas that has been painted over a long period of time and newly and completely randomly constructed on a new canvas.
Achieving 1024 individual images was a must,… as this number is very important. Richter created pictures with painted square surfaces. One of his best from this series has 1024 randomly colored square areas. So this picture is a homage to Gerhard Richter and his fantastic work.
