Two groundbreaking key experiences are the reason for the creation of “2304 Color Fields”. On the one hand, the magnificent color plate pictures by Gerhard Richter and on the other hand, the incredibly inspiring exhibition by Ai Wei Wei 2022 in the church of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice with his dance of death and the gigantic Lego pictures.
"2304 Color Fields" combines both ideas and techniques in a new format. For the randomness of the arrangement… of the colors, Richter chose either a finite or infinite drawing of his predetermined colors. The random arrangement of the 24 different colors in “2304 color fields” was realized using artificial intelligence. 2304 Lego building blocks were used. The glossy finish of the artwork, mounted on an Alu-Dibond panel, was realized by David @Color Rebels and gives the work depth, shine and structure.
