About this artwork
"Five Bing Strings" consists of five interwoven steel rings. Three of them are untreated steel, two are covered with 24-carat gold leaf. Two halved oak trunks are placed alternately within the sculpture.
The work was designed for a castle park where many weddings take place each year and also serves as a backdrop for photos. The two oak trunks and the two golden steel rings, tightly intertwined, can symbolize two people entering into a new union.
