About this artwork
As already mentioned, the picture treats one field. Always in the spring you see this mix of earthy flesh color and green.
This work is characterized by an additional structuring of the earth by mixing oil varnishes with alcohol-diluted shellacs.
These are, so to speak, unpainterly structures that are created by the shellac ramifications. These structures are comparable to the dendrites in limestone slabs made of Jurassic limestone, which were… often used as wall cladding in the 1950s.
The data areas of physical fields are also referred to as fields. In this respect, the title of the work is also an allusion to this somewhat different field concept. Plotter also dealt with the concept of the field in the context of field exhibitions.

Ludwig Plotter is an award-winning artist based in Germany whose paintings have been feautred in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. Through his distinctive works, he explores themes relating to nature and all that flows within it. For Plotter, there is no difference between technique and painting, just as there is no difference between art and science. He primarily creates with oils, tempera, resin, spray paint, and gouache on canvas.
