About this artwork
In this work I have composed a shattered universe, where the colors, burning red, bright yellow, collide in an expressive tumult. In the center a hybrid figure, at once child, totem, seems to watch over this vibrant disorder. Free gesture, raw material, lively emotion:
Everything converges towards the strange but necessary presence.
"The Keeper of Chaos" reminds us that chaos can be fertile, that it can contain truths, memories, silent cries,… and that at the heart of this disorder there is sometimes a guardian.
A passionate self-taught artist, Luigina Rizzo uses painting, drawing, and linocut to give form to her emotions. Her technique is intuitive, alternating between raw, semi-abstract, and expressionist styles; her tools—brushes or palette knives—vary according to the feeling of the moment. A true ode to freedom, her work explores the imagination, profound sadness, and continuous experimentation, becoming a mirror of her being.
