Luis Santamaría, an artist and cultural manager based in Madrid, fuses acrylic painting, digital art, and drawing with extensive academic training in Art History (Bachelor's degree, DEA [Diploma of Advanced Studies], and Diploma of Advanced Studies in Contemporary Art, Complutense University of Madrid). He is the founder of two companies: Aularte, dedicated to the dissemination of art history and heritage, and Aularterutas, an art and culture travel agency.
Her painting career began 25 years ago. She employs techniques of figurative synthesis and hybrid processes, combining everyday abstraction, quick sketches, and the experimental use of Photoshop, then transferring these digital discoveries to acrylic paint. Her works, marked by the tension between pictorial tradition and technology, invite a reflective pause, conveying the tension and harmony between visual memory and the vertigo of contemporary life.
