About this artwork
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, I have been making Still Lives as an acute observation of the world around me and a statement about the importance that we give the objects in our daily life. I bring this observation to Mexico, where I am living with an artist's fellowship in Spring 2022. 'Circulo' refers to the circle of flowers, and the cycle of life.

Luisa Adelfio is an award-winning painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions in Colombia, Chile, Peru, Italy, and England. She describes her art as relating to memory, personal, collective, and universal. Adelfio believes that as humans, we are united by our collective experiences as well as the experiences of those that lived before us.
