One day in April! Light and warmth are arriving. Nature opens up. Flower buds spring up. Nature beckons, the birds sing their spring song. In Christian culture, the death of Jesus Christ on the cross in April is a powerful force. 'Death and life' or 'die and become' are the heralds of spring in Luzena's work 'FeuerRot'
Following her impulse, Luzena takes red as a symbol of the driving force of spring. This intense color requires a strong black contrast.… This is heightened with yellow, the presenter of light. Yellow is arranged diagonally in the work and indicates the light aspect from the high spheres.
The color transitions from black to red are intense, as well as a wide range from red to orange to yellow. The other diagonal of light, which strives from yellow to white to the top right, indicates the spiritualization of matter. The vertical and horizontal linear brushwork illustrates the principle of the crucifixion.
