About this artwork
The YOU, on which I grow, with whom I am on the move, on which I rely, to whom my trust belongs. Luzena expresses that people reach different levels of consciousness in dialogue with the partner's DU. The work of art is built up in many layers of color and material that include the edge of the canvas. Large areas of oil pastel in the colors purple to purple and magenta, splashes of goauche in yellow-orange-indigo and sepia ink to a chalk-pigment…
mixture from Champagne lie on the canvas. The two figuratively indicated figures in the color resonance gold carry the typical gestural arabesque swing that is characteristic of the artist Luzena as a conclusion. The sensitivity of Luzena in the selection of the color with the combination of the material allows a strong luminosity and warmth to radiate into the room.

Barbaras BilderKunst has won several awards for her paintings, which have been extensively exhibited in Europe and the United States. She lives and creates in the microstate of Liechtenstein, situated in the Alps. BilderKunst describes her works as concrete art, which comprises elements of collage painting, assemblage, mixed media, and painting fragment. The themes she expresses are “as complex as life” and represent her attitudes towards colour, shape and symbolism.
