About this artwork
InnerGold1 is an image that invites us to look boldly into the dark, to seek the light, to discover our inner gold of balance, unity and peace. The light is symbolized by the golden accents that look like shiny gold nuggets in the existential night, and the gloomy brown, which consists of thousands of nuances in an infinite, harmonious gradation, represents the inner depths of man.

Barbaras BilderKunst has won several awards for her paintings, which have been extensively exhibited in Europe and the United States. She lives and creates in the microstate of Liechtenstein, situated in the Alps. BilderKunst describes her works as concrete art, which comprises elements of collage painting, assemblage, mixed media, and painting fragment. The themes she expresses are “as complex as life” and represent her attitudes towards colour, shape and symbolism.
