About this artwork
This wooden sculpture is from the series "Vom Leben und Dieben". It asks the question whether we are more than our body. Is there something that will outlast us? You can see the different layers on the face, the eyes seem to look inward. One suspects the transient of the body.
It is cut from a piece of wood. It is painted with different colors. Wax crayons, oil paint and colored pencil.
