About this artwork
The African land… scorching, burnt alive at the present time, by its lack of water, its viruses, its wars, its race for consumption, its Western models which do not suit it, Africa essential but in danger, breeding ground for a youth with overflowing vital energy which tries to forget its ancestral knowledge and does violence to itself, Africa, thrilling and pure land, but also trash and prey of the rest of humanity. Africa, you're dying of thirst…
with your cell phone in hand! In this canvas, African feet tread the ground the better to escape, while figures with gaunt legs also await their turn.

"I create dream machines" - Ly-Rose
Ly-Rose has established herself as a unique contemporary artist whose works leave a lasting impression. Her approach seeks to express the inexpressible and translate the raw emotion of a moment. Her paintings are born from profound sensory experiences: a sunset over the Atlantic, the warm resin of pine trees, the breath of the surf—those suspended moments when, in total harmony with the world, everything seems to vibrate internally. Through color and texture, Ly-Rose opens spaces of perception and invites each viewer to complete them according to their own story. Her semi-abstract canvases are sources of light, energy, and breath. They offer a sensitive relationship with the world, favoring sensation over explanation, emotion over narrative. Through her art, Ly-Rose provides a place where one can dream, feel, and be moved.
