I stood on the clifftop near my studio on the Isle of Skye, the wind soft against my skin, and watched as this immense cloud began to form — vast and lace-like, weightless yet commanding. It floated slowly across the sea, its tones of white, cream, and soft grey shifting with the light. The ocean below was navy blue in contrast, making the cloud seem even more luminous, more unreal. I barely dared to move, afraid to break the spell.
This is a long… exposure, allowing the stillness of the moment and the softness of the air to shape the final image. This photograph is not just a view, but a feeling: of awe, of stillness, of nature in its quiet majesty.
Each print in this small edition is handmade by me, using museum-grade canvas and archival inks. I do everything myself — no outsourcing, no mass production — so that what you receive is not just a print, but a piece of my vision and care. Each one is signed, numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
I am drawn to the timeless beauty of Scotland’s remote coasts—the whisper of winds over Hebridean sands, the shifting light across ancient waters, the quiet drama of a sky before dawn. My work, steeped in lyrical abstraction, seeks not the exact form but the feeling of a moment. Each image is a meditation on place and memory, where colour and light breathe quietly together. Since 2012, I have journeyed to the Scottish Islands, creating works that now live in collections around the world. I have exhibited in the UK, New York, and South Korea, where my Skye Blue Abstracts—a long-running series in the deep blues that have become my signature—found a lasting audience. My art is a conversation with nature’s poetry, an invitation to pause, reflect, and find your own story in the folds of mist and shade.
