About this artwork
This watercolor, inspired by the Australian Lake Tyrrell shows an abstraction of an aerial view of the landscape. The colors mix fluidly and evolve from soft olive green and ochres to blue, suggesting the salinity and mineral variations of the lake. The spontaneous style and free brush strokes evoke the natural flow of water, creating an abstract and ethereal impression of the landscape.
It measures 100x100 cm and is painted in vegan watercolor… on 100% cotton paper, mounted on a light support that allows it to be framed with an American box, without glass. It is currently framed with an American box in white-patinated oak, but it is possible to replace it with another finish.
Trained in Fine Arts, Macarena Sanz transitions fluidly from oil to graphite, but it is in the magic of watercolor where she finds her voice. With a bold technique that challenges the limits between figurativism and abstraction, Sanz approaches large formats to explore serenity in the face of chaos. His works are an oasis of tranquility that invite you to find calm amid the storm of daily life.
