About this artwork
In this piece, I poured my soul into blending the mystical with the tangible, using soft watercolors to evoke a dreamlike stillness. The mermaid embodies a longing for ancient mysteries and lost worlds, floating gently between reality and myth. I wanted to bring a tranquil, otherworldly energy to your space—a reminder of beauty in the unknown and the endless depths within ourselves.
Lost for thousands of years, forgotten under the surface of the… ocean. Now it is home for fishes and mermaids, but who were they who lived here before it was flooded? What more is hiding on the bottom of the seas? We are not the first civilization here, and we will not be the last.
