About this artwork
This is a carborundum gel monotype created from two plates. One plate had the background colours and was printed first. Then a second plate with the trees painted on wihith carborundum gel and coloured black was printed on top. I like the warm colours and the depth in the print. And the sense of mystery that lies in "where does this path lead"
Light, dark – without the one, not the other. A shadow a glimmer of light. What hides in the shadow, what… is revealed in the light? When you walk your path, don’t seek the light, don’t fear the dark. Explore! Enjoy! The road leads you home, even if you feel lost. The goal is always the place where you are right now.
