In the middle of nowhere, along a highway in Thailand, large mirrored spheres hung from delicate ropes attached to a tropical rain tree. Rain trees symbolize the connection between the celestial (rain/spirit) and the earthly (earth/matter). One might assume that the mirroring and reflection of the spheres reinforces this symbolism.
