These voices do not come from the outside world, yet they carry the weight of truth, distorting facts and amplifying fear. They speak with confidence, often borrowing tones from people once trusted, making their presence even more unsettling.
At the center of the composition stands… a quiet act of resistance — the choice to question, to observe, and to return to reality despite the noise. The contrast between darkness and light reflects the internal conflict between emotional overwhelm and grounded awareness. What feels like collapse is often just a passing wave.
This piece is not about losing control, but about the moment of holding on. About recognizing that not every voice deserves belief. And about the quiet strength it takes to say: this is not me, and this will pass.

Maksym Skvortsov (b. May 2, 1995, Poltava, Ukraine) is a contemporary Ukrainian artist whose practice blends emotional expression, raw honesty, and ongoing personal transformation. A graduate of the Lviv National Academy of Arts (Monumental Painting), he participated in the “Silver Easel” competition in 2017 and joined Saatchi Art the same year. From 2018–2020, he co-created the fashion-art brand “Havryliv,” merging painted artworks with designer clothing. His works are held in collections in the USA, Ukraine, Canada, and China. Currently based in Ukraine, Maksym explores themes of psychological depth, personal crisis, and identity through series like Golden Touch, ERA, and Schizophrenia. He exhibits and sells internationally on platforms like Saatchi Art, Singulart, and Zatista.
