About this artwork
Works created during a long period of my life in Lviv, from my student years to my free life.
This painting was created using "zelenka"—that's what we call a healing agent in Ukraine. A long time ago, before the coronavirus and the war, I was studying at the Academy of Arts and cut my finger with a knife while cutting paper. My boyfriend brought me this "brilliant green" to heal the wound, and without thinking twice, my artistic mind decided to use… it to paint a picture, which is how the green background of this human figure came about.
