« I paint what I feel. My work is an abstract expression of my environment, filtered through my thoughts and emotions »
Malu Tan is a Phillippines born artist who resides in the United States, where her paintings have been exhibited widely. Her work is an attempt to attain a "sublime juncture", to capture the life force of the natural world and make sense of our place within it. Tan searches for the rhythm and the deep silence in nature, as well as within ourselves. Her artistic process is both intentional and experimental, and characterized by layers of expressive marks and texture.
