I painted You and Me as a testament to connection — the way two lives can stand side by side, distinct yet inseparable. Vertical energy runs through the canvas like a pulse, symbolizing presence, loyalty, and the quiet strength of simply being there for one another. Cool blues and rich earth tones flow into bursts of gold and flame, capturing both harmony and friction — the beautiful complexity of companionship. Some lines are sharp, others dissolve… into softness, just as relationships shift between clarity and mystery. For me, this piece is a vow in color: that even as the world moves and changes, you and me remain.

I am a self-taught artist shaped by the vastness of the sea and the depths of the inner world. For sixteen years, I lived as a mariner, navigating endless horizons and silent waters, until 2019, when the birth of my daughter became the turning tide. I left the ocean to embark on a new voyage — painting. My work, rooted in abstract expressionism, explores the unseen currents between movement and stillness, solitude and connection. I layer acrylics and oils with brushes, knives, and my hands, guided by instinct, memory, and lived experience rather than formal training. The discipline of the sea remains, but so does its freedom — allowing each piece to evolve without a fixed destination. I do not paint what I see, but what I feel: inner storms, fleeting joys, layered memories. My paintings are not statements, but invitations — for the viewer to step into their own ocean of emotion and imagination.
